Background
I have been in the healthcare field since 2010, working as a home health aide before earning my nursing degree. As a nurse, I developed a passion for individualized, compassionate patient care for patients of all ages and stages. After working through the pandemic in a long-term care setting, I yearned for the ability to provide my patients with holistic, timely care. This experience inspired me to pursue my doctorate in acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine.
Education
At Northwestern Health Sciences University, I further honed my talent for patient-centered care and developed the skills I needed to treat a wide variety of conditions. My clinical rotations spanned multiple settings, including Northwestern’s University Health Services, Bloomington Natural Care Center, Integrative Clinic of Minnesota, and the University of Minnesota’s Masonic Children’s Hospital. Having treated over 900 patients, aged 9 months to 90+ years, I bring a deep expertise in using acupuncture and herbal medicine to improve functional health and quality of life.
Philosophy of Care
I believe that health is a deeply individual state encompassing the physical, mental, and emotional needs of each person. Therefore, healthcare must also be tailored to each person’s unique goals and current state. I am an advocate for my patients’ best interests, striving to empower them with the tools they need to thrive. My practice is informed by modern research and grounded in the ancient wisdom of Traditional Chinese Medicine.
Personal Life
Outside of the clinic, I enjoy spending time with my husband and our dog, Lucy. We love exploring local walking trails together and taking in the beautiful seasonal shifts of southern Minnesota. When I’m not outdoors, you can find me gaming with my husband, crocheting during the cold seasons, or creative journalling.
