Once your acupuncturist has a diagnosis, she will place hair-thin, sterile needles at specific points along meridian pathways. This insertion of needles is safe and most people find it painless. You will rest with needles in place for 15-30 minutes to allow the body time to balance your specific imbalances. Once this is done, Qi can freely circulate throughout the body, providing adequate nourishment to cells, organs, glands, tissues and muscles.
